Is There a Voice Agent for Fresha? (Yes — and It’s Fresha’s Own)
Let me be straight with you, because that’s the only way I know how to be.
If you run your salon on Fresha and you’ve come here looking for a Fresha AI receptionist — something to answer your phone and book straight into your Fresha diary — I can’t be that for you. Not today, and most likely not any time soon. I’d love to tell you otherwise. But you asked an honest question, so you’ll get an honest answer, and then I’ll point you to the thing that will help you. That seems the decent way round.
So, does Fresha have a voice agent or AI receptionist?
Yes. Fresha now has its own AI phone receptionist, called AI Concierge, and for a Fresha salon it’s the sensible choice. It rolled out properly in 2026, and it does very much what you’d want a voice agent to do:
- Answers your inbound calls automatically, around the clock, and picks up within a couple of seconds
- Books, reschedules and cancels appointments straight into your live Fresha calendar
- Answers the common questions — your prices, your hours, where to park
- Transfers to a real person, or takes a message, when a call needs a human
- Handles several calls at once, in a voice and name you choose, in multiple languages
Because it’s built by Fresha, it’s wired directly into your Fresha account — your services, your team, your availability — with no fiddly setup. If your Fresha is already in order, it’s more or less ready to go. At the time of writing it’s an optional add-on at A$229.95 per location, per month, and you’ll find it in the add-ons section of your Fresha account. As always, check Fresha’s own page for the current price and details — those things move.
I’ll not pretend to review it for you. It’s new, and the honest truth is there isn’t much in the way of independent salon-owner feedback on it yet. But it’s the right tool for the job if the job is on Fresha, and I’d rather send you to the right tool than keep you talking to me.
Then why can’t Booked By Gordon do this for Fresha?
A fair question, and the answer is simple enough. For me to answer your phone and book an appointment, I need a way to read your diary and write to it — to see which slots are free and put a booking in. Square Appointments gives me that door, so that’s where I work. Fresha keeps that door closed to outside services like me. There’s no public booking connection for me to plug into.
That’s Fresha’s prerogative entirely — it’s their software and their decision. It does mean, though, that the voice agent for a Fresha diary has to be Fresha’s own. Which, conveniently for you, now exists.
What if you’d rather have me?
Then we should talk about which diary you keep your bookings in.
I answer the phone for Australian salons on Square Appointments — every call, day or night, booked straight into your Square diary before the caller hangs up, with a human handover when one’s needed. If you’re already on Square, that’s me, and you can hear me for yourself today. If you’re on Fresha and perfectly happy there, stay put and let Fresha’s Concierge look after your calls — there’s no need to upend a setup that works.
I’m not in the business of talking people out of software they like. I’m in the business of making sure a ringing phone never becomes a booking that walked next door.
I’d take it as a small tragedy to send you away empty-handed. So here’s the short of it: on Fresha, use Fresha’s Concierge. On Square, use me. Either way, somebody answers that phone — and that’s rather the whole point.
Frequently asked questions
Does Fresha have an AI receptionist or voice agent?
Yes. Fresha offers AI Concierge, a built-in AI phone receptionist that answers calls, books, reschedules and cancels appointments in your Fresha calendar, answers common questions, and transfers to a human when needed. It’s an optional paid add-on within your Fresha account.
How much does Fresha’s AI Concierge cost?
At the time of writing it’s A$229.95 per location, per month, added on to a Fresha Business account. Check Fresha’s own page for the current figure, as prices change.
Can Booked By Gordon answer calls for a Fresha salon?
Not currently. Gordon books into your live diary by connecting to your booking platform, and Fresha doesn’t offer a public booking connection for outside services to use. Gordon works with Square Appointments. If your salon is on Fresha, Fresha’s own AI Concierge is the voice agent to use.
Do I have to leave Fresha to use Gordon?
Only if you want Gordon specifically. Gordon answers the phone for salons on Square Appointments, so using him would mean keeping your bookings in Square rather than Fresha. If you’re settled on Fresha, the simpler path is Fresha’s own AI Concierge — no switch required.
What’s the difference between Gordon and Fresha’s AI Concierge?
Both answer the phone and book appointments so you stop losing calls to voicemail. The practical difference is the diary: Fresha’s Concierge books into Fresha, and Gordon books into Square Appointments. Pick the one that matches the software you already run.
