How to delete your account

You can delete your account directly from the Booked By Gordon app.

  • Delete User Account — found under My Profile. This permanently removes your login and personal data.
  • Delete Account — found under Manage → Account (account owners only). This permanently deletes the business account and all associated data.

If you can’t access the app, email us at support@bookedbygordon.com with your name, email address, and salon or business name. We’ll verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.

Delete specific data without closing your account

You can request deletion of specific data without deleting your account. Email us at support@bookedbygordon.com and let us know what you’d like removed.

What gets deleted

Deleting your user account

When you delete your user account, we permanently remove:

  • Your personal profile information (name, email, phone number).
  • Login credentials and authentication data.
  • Communication preferences and notification settings.
  • Conversation history with Gordon.

Your login is removed but the salon’s business data is not affected.

Deleting a business account

When an owner deletes a business account, we permanently remove:

  • All locations and business settings.
  • Client records and booking history.
  • Services, products, and voucher data.
  • Staff access and permissions.

All staff members will lose access immediately.

What we keep (and why)

Australian tax law requires us to retain certain business and financial records. We keep:

  • Financial transaction records (sales, payments, refunds).
  • Records necessary for tax and legal compliance.

These are archived securely for 7 years after account closure, then permanently deleted. They are not used for any other purpose.

If you’re a salon owner

Deleting your business account affects your entire business, including all locations, staff access, booking history, client records, and business settings. Staff members will be notified and lose access.

We recommend exporting any data you need before requesting deletion. This action cannot be undone.

Deleting a business account does not delete your personal login. To remove your login as well, use Delete User Account under My Profile.

If you’re a staff member

You can delete your user account to remove your personal login and profile data. This removes your access but does not affect the salon’s business data or records.

If you’re a salon client

Your personal information is managed by the salon you booked with, not directly by us. Please contact the salon to request deletion of your client data.

If you’re unable to reach the salon, email us at support@bookedbygordon.com and we’ll assist.
